Work Permits
European Union nationals have free access to work and live in Luxembourg.
Non-European Union workers must obtain a work permit. The application is submitted by the employer (the hiring company) to the Employment Office (ADEM) before the employee starts his job and before his arrival in the location. The work permit is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after examination of the individual situation and an evaluation of the labour market.
